Updated information (February 29, 2024): Based on the course changes announced on February 5, 2024, "Check-in/Reception Venue, "Schedule", "Course map/elevation map", "Aid station", "Checkpoint" ” details have been updated.
*If you fail to reach the “IIYURATEI” checkpoint within 25hours within 20 hours after start, you will not be able to proceed. Please turn around and complete the race as a 130km course.
*The course for this event has been set in consideration of rare wildlife species in Japan and based on guidance from the Forestry Agency. The course is subject to change according to wildlife breeding conditions and other factors.
*Course changes will be announced around the beginning of May to accommodate wildlife breeding conditions, etc.
ABOUT ENTRY
The following are the required conditions for participation in this competition. Please be sure to check all items thoroughly before applying.
Entry fee
160km 45,000 yen
Max 220 runners
Includes prizes and accident insurance (*Payment fee is not included).
Once the application has been received and payment has been made, no event changes or cancellations can be made for any reason.
Please note that the entry fee is non-refundable.
Transfer of entry rights to any other person for any reason is prohibited.
Participation requirements:
Must be at least 20 years old on the day of the race and be able to complete the course within the time limit without getting lost.
Ability to understand and comply with the competition rules.
International Trail Running Association points holder
Meet the ITRA points requirements of:
Either 10 points or more from a maximum of 3 races or 6 points or more from 1 race is required.
* Points must be earned between September 29, 2019 and September 28, 2023. However, at least one race must be from September 29, 2022 to September 28, 2023.
Alternatively, those who have completed the "DEEP JAPAN ULTRA 100 Official Test Run Camp" on June 10-11th or November 4-5th 2023 within the time allotted will be allowed to participate in the race without the required ITRA points.

*The course may be changed to the Plan B course approximately 20 hours prior to the start time, depending on weather conditions.
The plan B course consists of 2 laps of the 80 km course loop
In the event of landslide or hypothermia risks due to any of the following, the course will be changed to the Plan B course, which consists of two laps around the 80 km course.
Precipitation of 2.5mm or more per hour for more than 2 hours before the start or as forecast during the race.
Forecasted maximum temperature is below 20℃ and wind speed is 5m or higher intermittently
Intermittent rain for 7 days up to the day before the start and a landslide warning is issued.

※ The cutoff time for the "IIYURATEI" checkpoint at 93.2 km (12:00 on the 22nd) is the cutoff time to proceed to the 160 km course. Participants who do not make it to the "IIYURATEI" checkpoint by 12:00 on the 22nd will continue the course as a 130 km race by turning back.
※ The cutoff time refers to the time when you leave the aid station. Failure to pass (exit) the checkpoint by the specified time will result in disqualification.

All clothing must fit the participant's own size and cannot be changed or modified in any way after being shipped as a product.
Mandatory equipment must be carried in a running sack throughout the race.
The running sack is tagged at the Check-in and cannot be changed during the race.
